Eugene Koron (1932 – 2015)

Koron Eugene outstanding painter of Belarus, known far beyond its borders. Childhood Artist was held in the village of Vetka, Gomel region. Here, in his grandfather’s hut on the river Sozh – the first experiments attempt to show the world. This small Motherland will always remain in my heart the future of the artist, feeding all his future work. He studied at the Moscow Art Academy (1948-1953), located in front of the famous Tretyakov Gallery. He graduated from the Minsk State Theater and Art Institute in 1966. He taught at the Minsk Art School (1971-1992). He worked in the field of thematic paintings, portraits, and landscapes. Much attention is devoted to still life, the search for poetry in everyday life, in the things surrounding a man. Artworks are presented in various collections worldwide.
